Given that a variety of users with varied interests are visitors of the
wanderlist website, it is necessary to offer
users mechanisms which allow them to control their user experience.
Due to the interactive nature of wanderlist it is possible that content
that is installed by one user may not be desired by, interesting to, or possibly appropriate for other site visitors.
Content in wanderlist will be reviewed with respect to whether it is of
an adult nature. Content
that is deemed to be of an adult nature will be categorized as "Adult Content". This is not a strict standard or definition and may be applied
broadly. The intent is to enhance the end user experience of site visitors,
not to limit a user's experience.
By default, adult content will not be viewable in wanderlist.
Users will have the ability to "opt in" to the viewing of adult content
via the user tools page.
By opting in to the viewing of adult content, end users are establishing
that they are willing to view content that is of an adult nature and that
it is appropriate for them to do so.
If content of an adult nature is viewable on the site by users who have
not opted in to the viewing of adult content, actions will be taken to
rectify the situation. However, such action should not be expected to be
immediate or prompt and in no way is wanderlist responsible for
site content.
It is possible that content of an adult nature may still be viewable on
the site even though a user has not opted in to the viewing of adult content.
Such a case is possible if a user has added an item to a list which is later
designated as adult content or if the specific item is later
so designated. These items would still be present in the
list of items that the end user has added to the site on the user's
user tools page. In such a case or other
cases which are limitations of the site and the technology used to control
the display of adult content it is unlikely that any action will be taken on
the part of wanderlist.
When creating new lists in wanderlist a list owner will have the opportunity
to designate that the list is to contain adult content.
Any list items which are added to wanderlist lists, whether those
specific lists are designated to have adult content or not, will be reviewed
with regard to whether the item contains adult content. If after review it is
determined that the list item does contain adult content, it will be
designated as such will no longer be available by default.
This document will be accessible from lists in wanderlist that are designated as adult content as well as the user tools page.
